Please do something about this forum's software

Just spent over twenty minutes trying to say thanks to stevec and scook's replies to my recent instability thread.

Four different browsers, tried from my laptop, desktop machine and nexus 7 - all met with the same dismal failure.

If the forum software's usual perverse behaviour continues, then this post will appear as it is a new thread.

[edit] Yup!  Thought so.  Edits usually work too...

It's taken me all morning to reply to 3 different posts.

If they bring out a forum version 3 without releasing a version 2b update I will be soooooo mad.

What I find ridiculous is having to hit the submit button at least 30-40 time before a post actually sticks!
And that's not including the amount of wasted time involved.
If you don't find it ridiculous I'd like to know what is!

You wouldn't be saying that if you wasted as much time on this forum as we do

I'd just like it to remember the last thread I read so I don't have to search for the last read posts.

Why must I constantly live with forum envy?
