Please help!! Novation Impulse broke Sonar X1
I've had Sonar X1 for about one year and haven't encountered any problems that I couldn't figure out by reading the manuals, searching the web or tinkering with settings. This problem has me totally stumped.
I recently purchased a Novation Impulse 61 Keyboard. I installed the latest version of Automap (4.4) and ran through the included setup wizard for Sonar. Now when I use Sonar none of my old projects will playback and I cannot get any audio out of VST synths with any of my midi controllers or even manually clicking notes with the mouse. On the other hand I can use all of the control surface functions (faders, transport & rotary encoders) fine.
I ran through the same process for Ableton Live and everything works as advertised. I can play VST's with my keyboard and control Ableton with the built in control surface. Most of my VSTs work fine as well in standalone mode, although I can't get FM8 or Z3ta to work either. I have tried uninstalling Automap and it didn't fix anything. I am certain that my midi routing is correct.
At this point I am totally perplexed and baffled. Have I overlooked something simple like a setting?
My setup: Windows 7/24GB Ram/Core i7; DAWs: Sonar X1 Producer & Ableton Live 8; Hardware: Roland Quad-Capture; Novation Impulse 61; Korg MicroKey; Maschine
