Shouldn't be a problem unless you're foolish enough to post your home address - "I'm here, come get me", type of thing.

On a more serious note, given VERY little information, it's pretty easy to get a person's home address online then have Google provide full directions on how to get there and aerial maps so you can scope out easy escape routes...

I have often wondered if listing all of your gear and computers on forums like this is a good idea. I was thinking of starting a thread about this but I'll just sneak this in here.

Because.....?

Or you have a house with readily recognizable attributes like Bapu's does.  You know, a nice house in Thousand Oaks that has steps with freshly painted iron rails, and a guy with moobs filming fornacating squirrels out in his front yard...

Or by posting a picture that includes your car which also has your name on the licence plate ? ;)

You mean, like this?

Considering that I live over 1,000 miles away and haven't owned that vehicle for over 10 years I'm not too worried!

Dunno about USA, but in the UK it's pretty easy to find someone's current address from their car licence plate and people with vanity plates usually transfer them from car to car.

I left my vanity in Kalifornia.  No one cares up here in the Pacific Northwest and neither do I, so I use whatever plate they want to give me.

That's ok then. Bapu says that's not your real name anyway ;)

They are of wood...decoy cows just in case
that sheep dude gets wise.

I guess some would think that's cheating?

Be careful of wood splinters in sensitive areas my friend.

Some people call me Maurice

Thank you space. Many may not realize the many issues of handling decoy cows.
I know it took time for me to learn many of them- the hard way.

Unlike some that have had bad experiences from milking them I've had to
learn the proper technique to move them around for effect.
Nice not having to deal with the Gateway boxes as in the beginning.

And then the neighbors that file complaints...the last one
I had to deal with was claiming the cows were doing their duty on their lawns.
Before that it was loud mooing. One even claimed my prize decoy had kicked
their dog and wanted me to pay the vet bill.

On the up side...when the insurance adjuster investigated the last claim...while
examining the decoy cow that was stretched out on the ground he believed that
it was caused by stress- neighbors trying to ride them and not so much just
decoy cow tipping. I still received market value plus replacement cost and everyone
knows that decoy cows can hit six digits easily....at least when the Gateway
boxes are no longer needed.

Well...there is a need for stupid people ( and I personally find it wrong to be passing
judgement on them).
It takes all types for this to work and I believe that one is much better off spending
their time trying to improve themself rather than trying to judge or label others.
After all....where would I be if I had believed those that believed owning and caring for
decoy cows was something stupid people did? ( while I cash-in and have to watch those
poor sheep disappear and my neighbor lose his ranch)

Really....wouldn't it be better to write a book- "Posting on Facebook for Dummies" and
profit rather than posting insulting accusations in the Cakewalk Comedy House?

( and if you take any of this seriously...I have some cows for sale. Prime stock at a very reasonable price.)

I don't judge--I receive entertainment.

Be careful not to step on the wooden cow dung; one might sprain an ankle.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?
