Bajan Blue Mesh I got the same email - it looks like there are now 45 different plug ins in the bundle, so about a $ a plug in! Makes you wonder if any of them can be any good. http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=72&products_id=888 Cheers Nigel
Yes, that was also my concern on how good they are. Surely, if there are at least 3 plugs that are good, it's a good deal? . I already have Nomad Factory's Integral Studio Pack III, but still prefer to have fewer (selective) plugins that are very, very good vs. having a boatload of average plugins. This might be a good deal for anyone needing an initial bundle set. This might also be an incentive for potential buyers: "Once you have purchased or upgraded to V.I.P. Bundle status, all subsequent plug-ins released for the V.I.P. series will be FREE of charge for you!"

Guys, There are quite a few that you would never use, but some that are quite good, esp some of the distortion boxes. The reverbs are rich for simple floor stomps. A good rotary box, compressor, some spatial tools. Much of the rendundant items are because they act like different variations of eq settings. I wasn't overly impressed by the 5 new units. At $49 however, this is getting close to no brainer territory for a variety of simple floor stomps. Graphics were done by the Nomad guys. There is a demo available. John (edit...) Forgot to mention the EchoFlex unit. Excellent analog sound with wow and flutter dialable and ping pong.. I went several months only using these plugs and Vitamin C by distorque. http://distorqueaudio.com/plugins/vitamin-c.html Favorite chain was Vit C followed by Calfornia or the Tweed distortion, Echoflex and scant reverb. Did have to add a noise gate after Vit C. Had requested P&M to develop a noise gate. Said they were working on it.

So the "named" amp model plugs are pretty decent? I like sheer variety of odds and ends included for $49, but some "meatier" plugs wouldn't be bad either.

I have the Stereolizer and the Digital Reverb. they're not the best...and they're not the worst... I got them for free...but I think, as with anything, it's up to your "creative self" to get the most from them...
for $49....like they said...that's about a $1 a plug....

There are enough good plugs in the bundle to make this a worthwhile buy, IMHO. Which ones you like most will depend on your tastes, but there's something for everyone. I personally think the guitar-oriented plugs (amps, delays) are excellent, and have a different flavor from similar tools. It's all fun to play with, and good for creative uses. A no-brainer, for sure! Cheers, Eddie

Cool. Starting to look better by the hour... I also like the idea of simple licensing and simple UIs.

Steve, About the amp plugs. Yes, they are "decent". Have no idea if they try to model something specific. There is not a vast difference from California to Tweed, to British and a couple other overdrives in the suite including the new one, whatever it was. They all follow the same design as far as I can hear, but the model is good. Delivers a smooth overdrive with a growling breakup overlaid that almost emulates speakers flapping against tube distortion. Don't know if I'm playing thru a simulated Fender or a Vox, but the sound is cool regardless. Eddie and Dmbaer gave good analysis. Point made incidental about the licensing. Simple serial number and lifetime upgrades. Quite a few stomps that will never be your go to units, but maybe 10 or so that are front line. No ilock or online activation ****. Noted also Larry tried the digital reverb with guarded response. Me too. The plate reverb is better. No brainer at this price, and any support is fast and compassionate. Don't know how much support would be needed since just a couple knobs per box. John

Perfect, thanks John. FWIW, I'm not looking for any specific amp models, just amp models that behave nicely. And it sounds like these will fall into that category. Combined with everything else in and about this bundle, it sure does look like a deal of the brainless variety.

You can demo them all. In fact, you have to download and install all of them since they don't offer individual plugin downloads. Give 'em a try and see if there are enough plugins in the collection that you'd actually use to justify the purchase. $49 for 45 plugins is sure a great bargain, but the ones I've tried (about half of them) were just mediocre. I mean that literally, that they're all OK, just nothing spectacular. The only one I have licensed is the transient shaper, which I got for free but never use.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Good point, Bit. Downloading the demo version now. (also downloaded the free Revalver 4 earlier).
