Plugin Manager layouts will not load

This happens from time to time and is extremely annoying.

Plugin-Manager layouts refuse to work. I right-click the efx bin and choose Audio FX | Plugin Layouts | My Layout ... but the layout NEVER LOADS. Right clicking the EFX bin again and choosing Audio FX brings up the (messy) default plugin list. No matter how many times I select or choose a plugin layout - I always get the default when I right click EFX bin.

This happened randomly in 8.3x and in 8.5x -- would be nice to see this fixed.

    this has never happened to me, but I suspect it's an OS security issue because I've seen similar problems on the forum with saving/retrieving plugin presets, etc.  you list a Macbook pro in your sig - are you running bootcamp or similar?  which MS OS are you running?

    was able to fix by editing a registry setting ... this happens periodically then goes away ... weird

    I have had this happen a number of times and it is very annoying, so could you pass on the reg tweak you used to fix it ?

    I'm having the same problem now that I installed 8.5 on a new Windows 7 machine... please pass on this reg tweak!

    You might what to PM him, this is and old dead thread and the OP will not likely find it. He's moved to the X1 forum like all the others.
