Plugin Parameter Values
Some plugins don't show parameter values under their knobs, sliders, etc. or in pop-ups. PSP SpringBox, which I'm currently trying out, is one of its kind. Is it possible, in Sonar, to view the value of the parameter I'm controlling if it's an automatable parameter? In another daw I use, there is this small convenient window in the left corner that displays the value. Should I just head to the feature request page?

You'll probably find that if you record an automation curve for any of these parameters they'll show up as percentages when you hover your mouse over the curve, which isn't really of much use, but try it & see. Either way, you should get a tooltip reading adjacent to the control you're changing - if not then it's a very poor design.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know automation shows plugin parameters, but they are, as you say, shown as percentages and you actually have to record automation first to see the values. I wanted to know if there's any way I can see the value movement when I simply turn the knob. For example, this SpringBox I'm trying out now has a knob for HPF whose value is 20-2k. And, in the other DAW I use, if I turn the knob all the way to the left, the value in the small window in the DAW also moves and reaches "20," and if I turn the knob all the way to the right, it becomes "2000." So, I think the plugin is actually sending these accurate values to the DAW, and the DAW is reading and displaying them correctly. I think this feature (window to show the values) would be a nice addition to Sonar.

swamptooth expand it as an automation lane and it should show up.correctly in the value slider. it does for all my n-i vsts. Although the lane has to be expanded and the target parameter needs to be selected first, it's better than not being able to display the value at all. Thank you very much for the info. :)
