Plug-in Scanner problem

Sonar 8.5.2
When I scan plugins, the utility gets stuck because it pops an Windows Explorer window and asks me to choose the Waveshell 9.2 plugin folder, which is c:\program files\cakewalk\vstplugins - at least that's where the .dll is.

But the scanner doesn't like that and pops another box for me to choose again. I can't get past that point and neither can the scanner so it does't register everything after W.

What can I do?

Thanks - rev

Ugh, that's a Waves issue, not a SONAR issue. Check with their support. I've had the same problem with Mixcraft.

The folder is actually in your Program Files, but you'll see that at the Waves site.

Good luck. Their "fix" doesn't always work.

Warning: if you tell me my issue can be remedied by buying more RAM, an SSD, or a Waves plug-in, I will troll you pitiilessly

    Search your c: drive for "WaveShell-VST 9.*.dll".

    On mine it's in c:\program files (x86)\Vstplugins.

Make sure this folder is included in your scanner paths. The problem is likely that the scanner is finding the individual Waves plugins but not the shell they run inside of.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
