Plug-in layout reverts to "Default All Plug-Ins" seemingly at random

I've never been able to figure out how this works. I like to choose plugs via my saved plug-in layout, so I select it from the Plug-in layouts menu when selecting an effect - from that point, it seems to default to showing my layout. Except sometimes, it will just randomly revert to the "Default All Plug-Ins" setting without me doing anything to change it. It just happened in front of my eyes. I selected a plugin from my saved layout, deleted it, and when I right clicked in the FX Chain to select another effect, it had reverted to Default All Plug-Ins. I get sick of periodically having to select my layout like this. Is this a bug, and if not, can someone explain to me what the mechanism behind it is? I know it's kinda trivial but it's just one of the little niggling ways in which working with Sonar frustrates me....

I know that you can /must save that in your template(s) if you want to have it available when you start new projects.  I can't imagine why it would get lost during the middle of a session though.

Perhaps, for some reason, it reverts to what you have saved in the template and you would not have the problem if you saved it in the template.
