Plug-ins are missing? but they are there..
Back in the summer I took advantage of Eventides offer for the free UltraChannel plug-in. As I only have Sonar X3, it has been a nice addition to many projects. Although today when trying to reopen a project I had just closed I get the notice "The following plug-ins are referred to by the project but could not be found. They may be missing or improperly installed on your system"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail, there doesn't seem to be any problem with the install process. I have (I really hope this doesn't start an assault on pros and cons here) deactivated and reactivated my license in iLok, which fixed a former issue a few months back. I'm stumped. Is there a better path to install to so Cakewalk will recognize it? The same number of plug-in found by the initial scan has not changed. I have quite a few projects with the UltraChannel in use and hate to go back and undo/redo the lot. Can anybody offer some advice/help in how to allow the UltraChannel pug-in to be found?

Try a reset and rescan of your VSTs.

I did a reset, now I get the error that I was getting a few months back when I had to update the iLok software and deactivate then reactivate the license.
"The software cannot be run because the activation experience thinks the authorization was found, but the wrapper could not verify it"
I did as suggested by the Eventide knowledgebase and deactivated and reactivated the license for this error to no avail here. Not sure what to do next.
I'm not a big wrapper fan but my kids seem to like them.. ; )

Sorry, I think when I had reinstalled the ultrachannel last I had indeed reinstalled the earlier version. So I just did a reinstall of the current 2.0.19 then did a rescan of the VST plug-ins and now I get this message, "Bad machine bindings for software license"
I feel like I'm going in circles, but I'll keep it up.
By the way, under VST 3 Migration, what should be checked, Hide related VST 2, and /or Replace VST2 when opening projects? I have no idea what either of them mean.

The VST3 migration settings won't matter here. The UltraChannel is VST2 only. If you want to read more about the VST3 migration settings see blog.cakewalk.com/developer-notes-sonar-x3-vst-enhancements
The error message seems like an iLok issue. Not sure though, don't have much experience it.
