Part 1 of an interview with Danny Danzi. Good stuff! I appreciate Danny taking the time to do the interview. http://www.recordinghound.com/?p=466 Also some good tips from Batsbrew in an earlier post on the same site.

Cool interview. I'll be watching for part two. I've always liked Danny's energy and down to earth style. He talks just like he writes .

I got through about 12 minutes of this interview before I had to leave for work. Great to hear from Danny...good stuff....I love it. I will have to pick it up from there and listen to the rest when I have time in a couple of days. Today starts 16 hr days over at Mandalay Bay tearing down a show, so it will be a while before I can finish this up. More Danny!

I rarely have the time to check out stuff like this but managed to check out this one in it's entirety today. Don't tell my boss. LOL. Awesome interview. The advice to put a guitar speaker at ear level is so simple yet pure genius. I usually tilt my Super reverb back when I track it but when I do my studio remodel I will make provisions for all of my amps / speaker cabs to be a ear level. Danny is a class act and is always willing to share so much useful information. Thanks for the interview and I look forward to next chapter. I tried to listen to the @ interview but couldn't manage the time. I'll try to give it another go as AT is also a fountain of useful information. There's no way I'll no way I'll miss the Bat reamp article. Thanks for posting these interviews and articles. Rocky

I have been fortunate to have some good musicians/engineers to interview...Danny is one heck of a great guy all round'. Just a note on the reamp article- Bat doesn't reamp. The article covers Bats setup and reamping separately. He mentioned that he wouldn't mind getting into reamping later on and seen a cool piece of gear to reamp with. Sorry for the confusion there. That article does mention how Bat likes to work and some of the gear he uses. He kills it on guitar and anything he says I listen.

Great Stuff again Tim, I am enjoying your posts and hope you continue for a long time to come. Danny's interview was a great listen, it's always good to hear where people have come from and what their personal experience has been. I'm not a guitarist but I certainly picked up some great tips just from listening to the "real world" examples of a practicing musician. "Polishing a Turd"; great expression, have laid a few myself and find it's always best to flush them and start afresh. Will listen to part two soon.

Rebel- Thank you sir! I hope to be still plodding along well into the future .Thanks for listening! I'm just the facilitator ....great guests like Danny are what make it happen.
Polishing turds? Makeshift sometimes you need a really big rock tumbler. You must have never met turdzilla.
Danny- I appreciate your willingness to do the show man.....it was an honor.

Thank you LRR....this week I talked with Larry Hansen about recording acoustic guitars. I think he has been here on the boards. The show audio is pretty bad. If you can get past that I think there's a good show in there. One of the issues that I'm investigating concerning the audio quality is why my host server says I have x amount of monthly space but they are limiting my uploads to only a fraction of that which doesn't make sense...the result is a show that might go over their limit by 1mb and they won't accept it...so I scramble to reduce the file size (and the audio quality), so I can proceed with the show. It's till somewhat of a learning experience for me. If I have paid for the space I shouldn't need to limit my files individually.
