As soon as I saw the waveform, I had a feeling I knew what I was going to hear, and sure enough... over compressed. It really flattens the sound when you compress so much. Kills the life. I think I should close my eyes when I click on a soundcloud link as I do not want what I see to "prime" what I hear.

It's hard to call this a song when there are so many elements of a song structure missing such as beginning, middle, and end.  There's no build up, no surprise, no suspense.  A melody, a bridge, a chorus, a refrain, etc. would be welcome.  Then we'll talk.

    All the best,

Interesting.... yes it's compressed and there needs to be structure in the song. I was thinking there would be vocals but not yet.

I think it needs to be reworked to make it into a song as opposed to a riff.  A solid riff, with structure, and vocals will make all the difference.

Now go and work on it and back off the compressor knob a nit.

OTOH, this genre needs a lot of compression, so i thought it was fine. drums need some works, there's far too much 'room' on these samples for this genre, but i enjoyed the riffs.
