Pop sound when hitting stop button

I am using X2  on Windows 7 and seem to be getting a popping or crackling sound when selecting the stop button.  Recording and playing seems to be fine, it only happens when stopping.  All tracks are midi with no audio tracks.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, James

try selecting "play audio tails after stopping"

    +1

And I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as your exported audio is okay.

Maybe try checking the Play Tails After Stopping setting in Preferences>Audio>Playback and Recording?

Hi Guys, sorry for not getting back sooner, I have been out of town.
I tried selecting Play Effect Tails after Stopping but it still made the same short buzz sound when stopping.  It is pretty annoying to hear at every stop.

I have re-saved the project using a different name and it stopped the noise.  Not sure why but it is running clean now.

Is it possible that selecting the tick box on Play Tails after stopping only works on a new project or does it update the current project?
    Thanks, James

funny!^^ I have this, and it's a known thing. Watch the webinar and it does it. I'd rather have the tail and just go "oh well, this is what sonar does" personally, but no, you are not alone.

Glad to hear I am not the only one, thanks for letting me know chrisharbin.
Glen I will try to control my frustration and ever so lightly press the stop button.
