Possible F/R Marker play list

I have been away from Cakewalk and Sonar and just recently rejoined with Sonar 6 which I am really liking. Autosnap and V-Vocal are the icing on the cake for me. While there are stronger solutions in each category (Live and Melodyne for example) having them in-line is an incredible advantage. I think both are powerful enough to handle all but the really extreme or problem cases. YMMV but I am loving it.

So it got me to thinking about a feature that I would find helpful and I wondered what you all thought. If this has been suggested before (or worse yet, you can already do this) please excuse me and remember I am a "re-newbie."

Since we have markers as well as the ability to go to them "randomly" from the transport bar, why couldn't we have a "play list script" for rearranging. In other words in this script I could say play the song as follows, marker 1,2,1,3,1,4,5. This would give a great deal of flexibility to rearranging as well as allowing compositions to be assembled by building blocks.

Anyway, what are your thoughts

Dan

This is one of the main reasons I use Kinetic for sequencing and not Sonar. I work with all softsynths and like being to compose songs in sections and arrange them automatically or on the fly. Also, the being to save drum patterns, chord, progression or melodies as patterns (and library them) and not projects is a hugh benefit from a sub $80 app. I can preview them as loops at anytime. When I'm done composing I rewire it all back into Sonar and add vocals and mix. I would love see these features added to SONAR Producer.

    Hi Dan,
I'd love to see this feature in Sonar as well. Cubase does this already with what they call the arranger track.
This would be a quite simple to implement feature in Sonar with great added value.
