Possible feature request: Batch File Export

I work on live recordings pretty regularly and generally split these recordings up into individual songs for release on a podcast. The shows range from 1 to 2 hours in length and from 10 to 24 tracks.

I would LOVE to be able to select everything in a project and run a batch export that would bounce separate files for each song instead of bouncing a long file and carving it up later or bouncing one file at a time. I figure this could be done pretty intelligently for different folks' workflows by applying several rules: 

  1. Whenever all tracks are silent for any period of time that means the end of one exported file and the beginning of another
  2. Users could also choose to split the files based on other events (i.e. markers)
This would save me a lot of time. Think it's worth a feature request?

    That's one of the reasons I use Sound Forge by Sony. It has great batch file processing an creation functions based on extensive marker features.

    That's a worthwhile suggestion. Would really help as I do a lot of live shows myself. I would also like to see a separate two track editor from Cakewalk. I am sure it will be welcome by a lot of us who would like an alternative to Sound Forge or Wavelab.

    Soundforge Pro 10 starts at $375 on Sony's website. Do I really need a new $400 piece of software to split my exported hi-res waves into separate files? This really seems like overkill to me.

    CD Wave would be sufficient if it supported files with more than 16-bit bit depth.

    If you know of cheaper options that would suffice that would help me a lot.
