Possible feature request now that we have vst3

Since vst3 allows for the resizing of the vst gui, would it be possible program a way to load a vst3 directly into prochannel without using an fxchain as a host?

If so then the gui could just be shrunk to fit in the PC strip and a flyout button to expand to full size.

Just a thought.

It really doesnt have anything to do with VST3. We have thought about this some time ago.
The problem is that you won't really be able to do anything from the PC module since it would only be like a UI thumbnail of the plugin until you expand it which means you can't directly manipulate it in the PC.
We may still consider it for a future version.

I would think it would be a lot harder to shrink a GUI to that size than it would to enlarge it.

I would however love to see a vertically resizable FX Chain module in the ProChannel. That way you could reclaim vertical space when using FX Chains to host only one or two effects. There's a lot of space wasted when you have multiple FX chains in a ProChannel each of which only host one effect, which can happen if you're routing them between other PC modules. Of course you'd have to resize it if you wanted to use all of the FX Chain controls.

Oooh..  I like that idea.   Most of my FX Chains in the PC are between 1-3 plugins so this would be nice.
