Post Cards to an Ex (a place in the sand)

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6315719

I haven't been around much lately but, I'm pleased to see what appears to be mucho action on the cakewalk song forums. probably the best spot on the site IMHO.

Check out my tune. Any feedback will be appreciated as usual.

Thanks

Nice, chilled, it certainly does make you think Hawaii or Cancun or...West Kirby...nice open mix, all the instruments and vox sit well. kinda a country vocal delivery on a Latino-lite background. Lyrics are a notch above the usual!

Nice. I like the guitar on this. I think MGH said it pretty good.

So is this a bio song? Did you send a postcard to your ex?

This is classic Tom Haddox. Well written and performed. Coolest lyrics. Trade mark vox. I love it. Props.

    Tom,
First, I like the nylon string guitar in this. Your vocals sound very 'honest' in this. Thumbs up man! I think my favorite from you so far, unless it's the bottle of Stering cab that I just polished off.... The simplicity works extremely well on this tune. Percussio0n is spot on.

Are you kiddin' your 'Doped up Stripper' was one of the recent highlights here for me.

This one exudes quality and slinks down the tubes and outta my speakers without touching the sides.

    Grand job again.

Very nice song. Only thing is that it seems a little bright EQ wise. 4K to 10K a little over. 300-600 a little low.

    Tom,

Sweet song. Very effective groove with tasty little guitar fills indicative of songwriter with guitar in one hand and Margarita in the other. The lyrics were excellent.
