Protools and Cubase's delete functions are so much better than SONAR...I don't know why Cakewalk can't get with the times and have a full-featured delete function that EVERY other music production program has. Heck, even Reaper has a better delete function than SONAR! It may be time for me to switch platforms, especially since they didn't improve the Delete function AT ALL in SONAR 6...it was the ONLY feature request I was interested in!

Sonar's lack of full-featured delete support doesn't really bother me. There's plenty of good 3rd party delete software available, though I prefer a hardware, PCI-based deletion solution myself. It's really just based on your own deletion needs, your unique deletive expression.

    This

has always been a good hardware-based deleter for me...although it tends to be a bit "binary" in that you either delete the whole hard drive or you don't.

Yes...I heard that if you delete a file in SONAR 6, it will also delete a random file on your wife or girlfriends laptop. Of course it you want it to work with both the wife AND the girlfriends laptops you will need to purchase an upgrade...

It does... but unfortunately it's implemented as backspace in a software wrapper... so it has delete, but I guess you technically can't call it "native delete". Maybe someday they'll support native delete. And gapless delete. That would be good. One can only hope...
