Power trio instrumental

Hey folks, I just got some Beta Monkey drum loops and they have some very good shuffle grooves on them so I recorded this little instrumental, I just had some fun with it. I call it drivin my car boogie, cause I think it will be a good driving tune.

5/25, I remixed this thing and beefed it up a little bit check out and tell me what you think

    the git melody is sooo perfect for the drums. It has such a distinct feel to it. and the walking bass line you get into around 1:35 and again a few times throughout is so awesome. I know that line myself and love playing it, but have never been able to work it into a tune. It sounds really really great in this song.

    I also really like drums fills that don't always go all over the kit. The snare fills in this tune are perfect for the style. Really makes you picture a just a basic shuffle kit with a kick, snare, and a couple cymbals; simple and sweet. good stuff

    i've been sold on beta monkey loops for a while but just haven't had the dough to cough up, but I gotta get me some.

    dig the tune and git playing is superb. wish I could picture a style like you and just rip it out like that. If someone offered up that drum beat to me I'd be pretty lost and go seraching for an accordian or a freakin washboard or something. But you ripped it up.

    Philly, The beta monkey loops are pretty inexpensive, I did the funky monkey custom Three pack. it was 50 bucks and there is like 800+ loops on each disc. pretty sweet deal. way better than that Mick Fleetwood Total drumming from Sonic Foundry. I paid 50 bucks for that and I havent recorded one songs with those crappy loops. I was using the drumatic CD before, and those sound pretty good, but no shuffle grooves (plenty of frickin funk grooves though.) Your right philly, it seems the drum loop Gods all think we are into playing funk.

    Thanks for the review Philly, I am actually not a big fan of guitar instrumentals, but this was a fun idea and plus I couldnt think of any lyrics

    Hey Stratboy,just wanted to say I really dug your tune,I liked how "in your face" the guitar sounds,cool shuffle groove goin on.Is that you playin bass as well?This tune reminds me of Pat Travers..
