Pre and Post Fader???

Pre and Post Fader???

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone can explain what we have these 2 optiosn for? Why do we have a pre and post fader option for our the eq ont he mixing console? What does it mean? Thanks,

    The short answer is that the Pre setting applies any FX (EQ, Delay, Chorus, whatever) in the FX bin and sends to Aux Buses independently of anything you do to the tracks Volume fader, Post applies it afterwards. If you're using Sonar 4, you'll find more explanations and a great diagram makimg all this clear around page 432 of your manual.
