Pre/Post Meter Options

From the console view, Sonar allows you to choose whether the meters are displaying pre or post fader levels. I find I like to toggle between the two at specific times but also find it somewhat cumbersome to do so. Anyone have any tricks they can share to easily display one or the other without clicking through the options? 
 
For me, if there was an indicator on the channel that the fader was being driven too hard (pre-fader meter) I wouldn't necessarily need to switch between the two. I do understand I can check plugins etc to see the gain at different stages but it would also be nice to see a final stage before the fader.
