PreSonus StudioLive mixer with X1

Hey fellow Cake Eaters,

Anyone using the PreSonus StudioLive 24 (or 16) with X1?  I'm having trouble getting the ASIO drivers to playback at all, and it appears the WDM drivers are limited to 4 in and 4 out.

Thanks!
~Frank

Vista 32 Ultimate
4GB RAM
Firewire connection built-in to StudioLive mixer

Yes. Make sure the mixer is powered up In X1 go Edit / Preferences go Playback and Recording -- choose ASIO go Devices -- which should show a long list for Input drivers and Output drivers Put a tick in all of them (I've given them shorter friendly names so you can read them in the Track Assign boxes) go Driver Settings Set -- Playback Timing Master: ASIO PreSonus FireStudn StudioLive Ch 1 -- Record Timing Master: ASIO PreSonus FireStudn StudioLive Ch 1 -- Audio Driver Bit Depth:64-bit Double Precision Engine I monitor through the PreSonus FireStudio StudioLive 2Trackln L which leaves all 24 tracks free (see Owner’s Manual bottom of page 67) Hope it helps

I don't have any proba running my 2442 with SONAR X1d Expanded. I use Asio drivers.

It might be worth looking at the FireWire interface on your computer as a possible culprit. You don't say whether this is a new problem and if it was working or it's never worked properly.

@ Frank - Yes I use my 2 year old SL 16.4.2 mixer solely as my interface with zero troubles with both Sonar X1 & Studio One V2. Follow the proper advice above from Mr. Seidel. Make sure that that mixer & any other devices you use are on before opening Sonar so that the computer finds & reads them upon Sonar's start up scan.

I just installed X2, had the same problem with my StudioLive board only recognizing 4 channels, did a search on the forum and found that I had already asked this question back when I installed X1, and that it was already answered for me! And worse yet that I never thanked the people on this thread that helped me! So thanks! X2! (It's tough getting old :-)
