It would have to be Cakewalk HQ. The big red button at Gibson HQ tunes all guitars within a 100 foot range automatically

As log as you sample the resulting sound an include it in the Rapture Pro sfz instrument set...

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk] 1) Yes, core installer allows you to choose your installation location for Multisamples for OS X and Windows. You will be able to see the core installer in Command Center (this will work differently than SONAR which silently installs everything) and you can pick your location.
Do we have to update the core installer (control center)? Also are you aware that the control center GUI chops the window at the right on some monitor geometries?

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk]Rapture and Dimension Pro combined but with an adaptive workflow and GUI along with new sounds and features. The GUI has also been redesigned and adapts depending on what you are doing (composition, live performance, sound design). Check out the web pages and sound examples. Very powerful synth and we are excited to finally announce it.
Hi Andrew, I really did dig through this entire thread, and a couple shorter ones, and I visited the product page. I'm pretty well sold, even though I don't really NEED yet another synthesizer<G>... when did need become an issue???
The one question I can't find an answer to - does Rapture Pro replace Dimension Pro and Rapture? Or, put another way, will I be able to play all my Dimension Pro and Rapture patches using Rapture Pro? If this is the case then it will streamline my workflow, which is one point that hasn't seemed to make headlines yet. Thanks!
Yes, it replaces both and will play all your patches. But if you are looking for it to just automatically replace your instances of Dimension Pro or Rapture in a project, that's not something it can do...yet. So you'd have to swap the plugin in an existing project.

Andrew Since I had my X3 PE version of Rapture (and Dim Pro) installed prior to SPlat, I haven't used the CCC for either. So, I'm assuming I have to manually install Rapture Pro or can I use the CCC and still put the library(s) on my other drive? It is a different program from Rapture, so how do I proceed? Michael

So at 1AM (EST) I get an email notification from Sweetwater regarding my Rapture Pro order saying it has shipped. I look for links to download the software but much to my dismay there aren't any. I call Sweetwater only to have them tell me it's still not available and to check back later in the day which I did. If not later then definitely by tomorrow. As of now there's still no download link. Why did they even send an email saying it shipped? For Pete's sake Cake... Release this thing already!!

That's correct, you can choose either and still specify a custom folder or drive.

Correction, this option does not exist for the .progs. But it does exist for the multisamples and everything else except .progs

I was hoping to install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. I have some 32-bit apps where I am hoping to have Rapture Pro appear as an option. But when I went to install, it made me choose between 32 and 64, not both.

Did you try running the installer again and choose 32bit? It may work like the manual SONAR install process.

I did not. I was afraid that it might uninstall the 64-bit version. But I guess I will try that now. On edit -- This did seem to work. I did not use the classic installer at all. I did everything from the control center. This was really strange. When I first pulled up the control center, it has red dots for Rapture Pro and for all the content items. I installed everything and selected 64-bit. After that install completed, the content items all showed green, but Rapture Pro was still red. At that point Rapture Pro was available in 64-bit Platinum as a VST3, so I don't really understand why it still showed red. But that allowed me to run that part of the install again from the control center, this time requesting 32-bit. That completed and then everything showed green. After that second install, Rapture Pro was available in Finale (which is 32-bit) and all the content seemed to be there. It is all working. The install just wasn't what I expected. And now for the benefits ... Working in Finale, I am not generally trying to produce super-realistic playback. If I need to do that, then I'll take all the MIDI over to SONAR. My goal within Finale is usually to hear all the voices clearly. I used Rapture Pro to replace my normal bass guitar with a bass voice that had a bit more HF and attack to is, and that allowed me to take the bass down in the mix, making the winds easier to hear. That's a very rudimentary application of Rapture pro that is actually quite beneficial to me.

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk] It's VST/AU, works in any host that supports those formats. It will work as 32- or 64-bit on Windows. And yes, the intro price will be available through the end of May. We'll be shipping before that.
This is the offer of $79.00 to existing users isn't it? So this should still be available? Cakewalk store is showing $149.00 for me, I'm logged in and a Platinum user, I also bought Dim Pro before it was incorporated into Sonar, and x3, 8.5 and some version before.

I had just enough time to install and briefly play with it in standalone mode before getting called away... ugh. I've got a clear schedule for the next couple of days and the will to turn the phone off lol. After I go mow the weeds to a city-acceptable level and install my new NAS bay I'll be jumping into the Rapture Pro pool head first.

Maybe it is my imagination or maybe my ignorance, not being all that familiar with the existing synth technology, but it seems like most of the "new content" with Rapture Pro is actually just two or three regular patches mixed together. While those combined sounds are cool and all, I am mainly looking for distinct voices. I guess that stuff is stall available in the legacy folders. Am I looking at this wrong?
