"Preparing to Install" after Windows 10 1803 update

I've just had the update 1803 to Windows 10. I also took the opportunity to remove old Windows update files to clean up the dik.
Now I try to start Cakewalk and I have a "Windows Installer - Preparing To Install" window, and there seems to be no further action.

I also have a similar issue with Cubase Pro.

The PC seems to be working ok otherwise

Has anyone any thoughts?

Thanks
Jerry

Can you tell what it's preparing to install? What does the top left of the title bar say?

Is it just DAW's that you get this message? Or other programs affected too?

Thanks Grem, but I got it now - it was to reinstall the Yamaha USB drivers (for my UR-22).
Anything using sound was affected - Cubase, Cakewalk, Kontakt, Amplitube, EWPlay, etc.
Wavelab opened ok, but when I went to preferences, I then got the Windows installer issue.
Windows, as usual thinks it knows better about the configuration.
I have the XLN reauthorisation problem, but that's expected and a fairly easy fix.

    Anyway - all fixed now

    Cheers to all
