Pricing Question
Hi All I have just started using Sonar X2a after a long layoff and I don't understand the pricing. First question, after using X2a Producer which upgrade would be most suitable. On pricing where it says £4.99 per month or one time payment of say £60 does that mean i pay £4.99 every month or £60 every year. Sorry I don't understand. Thanks Alan

Whether you're upgrading or starting from scratch there are two payment options. 1) Pay it all up front and instantly own everything. You also get 12 months of updates (new stuff) 2) Pay in instalments, you own everything once you complete the 12 monthly instalments*. You also get monthly updates (new stuff) * Just like any other pay by instalments plan, if you do not keep up the instalments the toys are taken away.

Hi. Regarding which version to upgrade to, it depends on what you need / like to have. I upgraded to the Platinum version (with Pro Channel, Addictive Drums +++), and I am very happy with all the new toys On my end, it has been very stable as well. You will be able to make music, no matter what version you choose Best of luck.

Thank you for the replies,i used to always get Producer even though I only record at home now. I am thinking Artist will do me for now but I could always upgrade to Professional if I thought I was missing out on something. Alan

All the extras you got with X2 Producer will still work with Artist as long as you don't uninstall it first...

He would not have Pro-Channel in Artist from what I understand, even if he owns X2 Producer.

True, core features wouldn't work. I was thinking more in terms of all the "bonus" items that came with Producer.

I upgraded from X3 to Professional(paid the yearly $99 fee), and within a few weeks, I upgraded to Platinum at $29.99/month. I'm a happy camper!
