Primal Dream

Hey all, this is my first recording ever and I finally feel good enough about it to post. I took me the better part of a month to figure out Sonar 4 (and lay down the tracks). Comments on this will be highly appriciated. Quality, drums, guitars, bass, vocals ect. I'm not too worried about the musicianship but comments on that are welcome as well. Thank you all that take the time to review and don't worry about hurt feelings, be as honest as you can. Thanks again.

Is this downloadable? Looks like people have take a look but nobody's commenting. Please comment. By the way, I have my own FTP site so if anyone would like to try their hand at mastering, we could swap our work. I still learning a ton (mostly thanks to this forum) but I think the best way to get good at it is hands on. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks again.

The vocal is too far back in the mix, I'd like to hear more balls from the snare, and kick,
You could compress this again and get it more In-Your_Face, which is what I'd want from a track like this.
You could, on the voice, try rolling off the highs around 8k, and the lows around 500hz, then boost 3k around 4 or 5db, and add a chorus effect . That would sound more in keeping with the mood of the song.
Just suggestions, and opinions, everything's subjective.
    Nice work.

    Hi, Super!

    I moved to VA from Detroit, btw. . . Anyway. . .

I thought the composition here is much better than the recording. The drums seem pretty small in this mix. And, I could hear more bass. Guitars are forward, but they obscure the vocals.

But, it's obvious that you put some effort into this. And, I think there are some interesting sections, etc. It probably could stand a bit of a remix more than anything.

Hey guys, I appriciate your input on this. I've been working on a different song for a while because I think you can only put yourself through the ringer on one tune so many times even if it is my own material. But the remix is soon coming and I would like to know what you both think of it so if you would, keep a eye on this forum for the update. Thanks again.

I'm listening on a laptop right now so I can't really comment on the recording quality. But both my girlfriend and I really like the song.

Vocals seem a little low to me in the mix.

I dig the screaming at the end :)
