Printing Scores from SONAR compositions

I can't get a decent pdf of a score out of Sonar.  Staff lines don't print, the layout is not what I intended.   I've tried exporting MusicXML into MuseScore but it seems to miss things like ties.  What do people use to print scores with multiple parts for different players - say, piano and several vocals?

    Forget using scores in Sonar.
If you want a perfect result, use Sibelius.

I have often printed parts out of Sonar. What I do is

    1) create a  duplicate, dummy track(s) of the part(s) I want printed,
    2) quantize all start and stop times of notes so no notes are overlapping and causing parts to be hard to read.
    3) I look at the preview and check out the different configurations..see which one works best.
    4) Print parts out
    5) Go thru the printed parts and hand write in articulations, dynamics, any ties ties or slurs,

I can do that faster than importing into other Notation Software or hand writing out parts.

It's really not that bad once you've got a system down.

So say I have 4 horn players coming over.  I print the 4 parts out and line them vertically on table.  I go up and down and write the same articulation in different parts on the same measure,  that way I don't forget to mark up one measure or part...or mark them with different articulations accidentally.

My usual way is to export Sonar midi tracks to Finale / Notion for touch up / printing. Works best for solo lines. Polyphonic track may (usually) need some editing after importing into Finale / Notion.

These are all helpful.  I've heard Finale and Sibelius are the leaders in notation software.  Are the features of their low end editions (Sibelius First and Finale PrintMusic) good enough to get a readable score out of a Sonar .xml export?

I've never used XML export from Sonar because I do not waste time with sheet music issues within Sonar.
I always export the MID file and import it into Sibelius and there I make the necessary music editions.
A single step I take before, within Sonar, is to quantize all notes to prevent sibelius from creating incorrect syncopes. Obviously I create a separate project on Sonar before.
