Pro Channel Module
Just going through my account and happened to notice.. There has not be a NEW Pro Channel Module in over a year... The PC-2A came out last year in March...and there hasn't been another one since... not even a "hint" of one... Breverb and TH-2 don't count...they are "ports" and not PC Modules... And the VST update does not count as anything either..it's an update...not an addition... We've passed the 6 month mark and no X2b yet either.... So, here's to the Bakers for keeping things moving right along (raises glass) Cheers!

Don't know why, but I have a very faint, but strange gut feeling that since getting rid of Seth, Brandon & Robin, that they simply may be going to 'exit stage left' - quietly - no more releases - no more versions - no more updates. But that's just me. It does seem unusually quiet though, doesn't it?

I think a lot of people misunderstood WHAT the CA-2A was... It was merely a PORT of the PC-2A to VST so that it could be used in other DAW's.....it wasn't anything new...and followed on the heals of the RE-2A, which was a Reason Rack Extension version of the PC-2A. AND it was a $20 upgrade to anyone who already owned the PC-2A... It went from being the Pro Channel 2A (PC-2A) to the Cakewalk 2A (CA-2A) so, if you have another DAW besides X2, and want to be able to use the PC-2A in it, then you need to get the CA-2A update...which adds VST 2.4 and VST 3 support to the PC-2A...but it's NOT anything new... Cheers!

I thiink Cakewalk have delivered a pretty cool package of Pro Channel modules to be honest. I just wish they could get some more 3rd party plug in developers to join in on the format, like Softube. I can't believe that Waves haven't joined in with their One Knob series - should fit the module size and format perfectly

I agree that the PC is a great format... It's just an observation that they haven't brought anything NEW to the table in over a year...and the format has been out there for over 2 years now... Maybe Cake feels that, because, with X2, they have opened the PC to VST's, that they don't need to develop any NEW PC Modules, as you can now make your own, but this is not a PC native solution, and must have an impact on overall performance and CPU usage... I, too, would be happy to see more 3rd party development in the PC line...like the Softube Mix Bundle, Breverb, and TH-2...

Exactly. I don't know how hard they are pushing 3rd party developers to create Pro Channel versions of their VSTs - but to me, it sounds like it could be a good idea to do just that.
