Pro Channel Not Working

I have installed X1 Producer both 32 and 64 Bit, and I am learning the new navigations.  But I can't get Pro Channel to work at all in either 32 or 64 bit.  I click on the buttons to enable (blue) for each of the compression, EQ and tube saturation, but the meter does not move, I don't get any EQ display, and there is no impact on the track's sound.  I must be missing something basic, but I can't figure it out.

Ideas?

Have you installed the X1a patch? Before that first patch, the Prochannel comp meter only moved when the transport was running, though it would continue to process audibly.

Is this in the Track view or the Console view? In either case, double-check that you're looking at the Inspector/ProChannel for the correct track. Also, are you applying it to existing recorded audio, or input monitored audio?

Also make sure you turn it on.

Thanks for your help.  I have tried both Inspector (Track view) and the Console View.  I am sure that I am connecting with the correct track.  Also, I don't get any response for either recorded audio or for input monitored.  And I do have the input monitor button checked.

    Still stumped.....

Sent you a PM as well:

Run the vst scanner again. That should cure it especially after applying the X1a patch.

    In the Inspector:

Turn up the knob labelled "Input" on the 76 compressor - you should eventually see the meter move.

Do you see anything in the EQ graph? You should be able to see a graph of the EQ settings.

Do the little lights next to the on/off switches ever activate?

    Cheers, Peter.

Thanks.  I reinstalled the X1a patch and re-ran the VST scan, and it works now in both 32 and 64 bit.

Hi graciedog, I found your post on a search. I'm having the same problems with ProChannel. I loaded X1-a and X1-b on the same day (I had put X1 aside for a few months because of all the bugs) and ProChannel has never worked even though the lights are on. Did you go back and re-load just X1-a or did you re-load both patches again ? And did you have to rescan the VST folder ? Thanks for any help in advance.

I thought I read somewhere that that helped with the problem.

Well, I reloaded X1a and rescanned the VST folder with no result then tried the whole procedure again and it worked !?!? Strange, but at least I have ProChannel now. Thanks,

I experienced the same problem and sent an  email to the tech, they say they can't replicate it, and I sent this email just before X1B release hoping they would take care of that. I'm really upset, because I look somewhat foolish in front of my customers, because when I click on pro channel button, it appears blue, but nothing really happens, when I try to change the settings. It is espesially upsetting, because I use this program for production. I even recorded what's happening on camera as proof. Hopefuly the pay attention to what's being written here and fix it!
    Cheers!
