Pro Channel Preset naming convention.

Would someone like to either postulate or even explain the naming convention that appears to be used for Pro Channel presets.

Whats with all the numbers before the type, the type bit I can understand the numbers just, well they just do.

i.e. 1321512492_Bus - PCK4 E-Type.pcp

Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge.

I'm getting similar answers to my questions today John.

I think you just have to say something is kewl and well-baked round here these days rather than ask one those nasty, pertinent questions that might involve some thought in order to answer.

Thank you JB for at least saying something.  I do believe that your suspicions have considerable merit.

Thanks Jonesy, it's a response at least.

Wookiee . . . my guess is that the numbers are some sort of upload coding thing, as many of the Pro Channel presets can be uploaded and shared online by SONAR users in an area on their website.

Becuase the 4 letters that are starred out are perceived by many to be a derogatory racist term.

The preset you referenced above should simply be ...

    Bus - PC4K E-Type.pcp

I have no idea what that long string of gibberish is. The naming convention is category first (Bus, Drums, etc.) then the description after.

Thank you Seth I did guess as much but had to ask.

However all of the Presets I have downloaded and all the ones installed have the "long string of gibberish" preceding the meaningful name.  This is a pain and I will now set about removing them.

Thanks again for all whom contributed to this discussion.

    Hi Seth,
just download  a preset from the ProChannel Preset Zone. You have to rename the presets manually.

    Asrock H77 Pro4/MVP,  i7 3770, TC Impact Twin,  EMU 1616m PCIe,  3 Powercore PCI,  Sonar Producer X3e (64 Bit),  Windows 10 (64)
