Pro Channel not working (Solved by turning on Global button : post #6)

First I was having this problem
http://forum.cakewalk.com/Weird-problem-mixing-half-way-many-tracks-gone-silent-m3117615.aspx

It was solved, not not knowing why.. and now all the Pro Channel is not working (compressor / eq / etc.. the blue button is engaged, but the meter is not moving) Moving the PC compressor output level to min / max did not affect the sound at all..

I'm thinking of exporting all the audio out and throwing away the existing project and start a new.

What is the best way to export individual track's audio clean, without the sound being effected by the Pro Channel, etc.. I don't mind using pen to copy down each and every setting track by track.. At this moment, I really don't know if the PC is effecting the sound at all..

Is this the correct way to export a track without using any effect (no PC, no effect bin, no automation).

Edit : I mean disabling the ones in circled.

    Thanks.

Have you tried disabling the plugins in the fx bin in your master buss? Every once in a while Liquid Mix will hang up in my master fx bin, and it won't let audio through.

You probably don't need to export. I assume the issue happens only when the CA-2A or Concrete Limiter is present. There is a known bug that is intermittent and relatively rare, and I believe a fix is forthcoming.

The simplest workaround is to insert a new instance of the plug-in, duplicate its settings, then remove the old instance. That should let you get back to work. You can also render the audio with the ProChannel effect, which takes the effect out of the picture.

Of course, the easiest way to make a bug disappear is to try to create a project where it's reproducible

Resolve this by trial and error, not knowing what the Global button is suppose to do.

Problem #1 - many tracks gone silent
    - actually due to all the default Pro Channel track compressor output gone to min setting - not sure how this was done.
    - but only found this much later (after solving Problem #2) as I don't expect the output level to be set min and all the tracks was on narrow view.
    - This problem was solved temporary and wrongly by turning off the Global switch - but in doing so, it restores all the track volume.

Problem #2 - All Pro Channel modules was not responding
    - solved by turning on each track's Global button.

In summary, the only problem was some how many affected tracks default PC compressor was all turned to min.

    Question :

What the Global button does. I've never even notice this button there (until now) and by opening some older projects I found that some were off and others were mainly on.

Is there an action that can trigger all the default PC compressor to turn the output level to min at the same time ?

    Thanks!

The Global Button at the top of the prochannel strip turns it on or off, the whole strip. This is the strip not the modules. The modules can be turned on individually. One reason this is there is modules are often loaded by default and may or may not be wanted in the project. It also lets us A/B the PC. Its very handy.

Yes, you can do this by quickgrouping. There are 3 ways this could have happened that I can think of.

    - You had all tracks selected and while setting the compressor output level on one track accidentally held down the control key.
    - You had *no* tracks selected and while setting the output level held down control. (no tracks selected is treated as *all* in the case of quick grouping)
    - Your keyboard has a sticky control key that caused it to be engaged unexpectedly.
