Pro Suite Install

Hello Everyone,

Just installed Pro Suite tonight whew that took a while and have a couple of questions.

Sonar 7PE came with Dimension LE and Ratpure LE, Pro suite included Dimension Pro 1.2 and Rapture 1.1 as well as the expansion packs.

Questions:
1)Should I remove Dimension LE and Rapture LE?
2)Any conflicts having both installed?
3)Any benefits having both installed?
4)If suggested to remove, what is the best way without corrupting Dimension Pro / Rapture 1.1 installs?

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Monnie

    Heya,

    Welcome to the forum!

You don't need to remove the LE versions as their will not be any conflicts between the two versions. They will actually show up as seperate plugins in Sonar. One benefit "might" be that you can save cpu power by loading the LE versions if all you want is a quick and dirty preset. I find, though, that the full versions are pretty cpu efficient and would rather have access to the whole bag. BTW you can simply hide the LE versions in the Plugin Manager if you don't want to "see" them, but want to keep them installed on your system just in case.

As far as actually removing the plugins form your system I am pretty sure you can just add/ remove from Windows. That shouldn't mess with the full versions since they are seperate .dll's. But like I said before you can just hide them in the PM in case you want them down the road.

Monnie, ah your a collector of big boxes also .hehe

the cake pro box, imagine that x4.. that's the size of the box it was delivered in.hehe

I have the pro suite also (although I haven't even started on p5 yet) as theres a lot of learning.

you can share the multi samples of both rapture / DP with the LE versions . That will save you a bit of space since the samples make up the bulk of the application size.

I guess you have gone thru the additional disc with updates? and the sonar updates also to make it 7.02.

this will interest you I think >

there is something on the sonar wiki about it also, techead wrote about that also.

will save you some hard drive space anyway

don't forget the updates on the expansion disk also
