ProChanne can't see the "concrete limiter"

I have just isntalled X1 expanded on top of X1d. I also installed the Concrete Limiter.

However, within ProChannel I can insert the Satuarion Knob but I don't see the limiter.

I have unstillad and re-installed it just in case but still no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Mario

Did you follow the full instruction for installing X1 Expanded over X1 d? You may need to roll back to X1 C before you install expanded. Than install X1 d to the expanded version.

This is from memory and I am not sure it is correct.  None the less please read the full instructions for patching.

mario . . . make sure in "preferences" you have the switch under VST settings - - -> "Scan VST plugins on startup" switched ON, so that when ever you install a new VST plug (includes Prochannel plugs), Sonar will register it, and find it.

Yep I always forget about that. I have it on too after CW said it works great. And it does.

So a big +1 from me too.

    +1 for the VST

Yeap that was it. Turning the off the scan on startup is an old
habit from the days of older/slower PCs.

I guess with an i7 920 I don't need to worry about it anymore.

    Merci

Noel Borthwick recently explained the enhancements in SONAR's VST scanner and suggested that we leave it set to Scan VST's on startup. It only takes a few seconds after the initial scan which writes the location of each plugin to the windows registry.
That way if you install a new plugin SONAR will pick it up automatically as long as the plugin is installed within a set path. Make sure to leave 'Re scan existing plugins' unchecked as this would add considerably to SONAR startup time especially if you have a lot of plugins.
