ProChannel Softube Saturation Behaving Oddly
Has anyone else seen this... It seems since X3c was installed, when I use the Softube Saturation module in the Prochannel... when I bring it up to where I usually use it (9 o'clock or roughly 25% turned up) The modules internal light which signifies saturation occurring comes on and stays on even if there's nothing on the track and no devices enabled before it... What's with that? Keni

I have noticed this a couple of times with PC modules since X3, not just the saturation. I've seen it in the EQ as well. Just not consistently enough to be able to bug report it. I'll be tearing my hair out wondering what in the hell is wrong with my gain staging, and then realize that the thing still lights red even when I turn the gain all the way down. I turned 64-bit off what with the mono EQ issue and all, but I'm sure it's happened once or twice since then as well. Just wish I could pin it down.

Oh and did we ever have an official answer as to why the PC FX Chain module's clip light isn't functional? I'm kind of presuming it's something to do with the fact that FX chains contain multiple plugs each with their own clip status, but I do wonder why it has a clip light in the first place.

That's an interesting thought... Yes, I've had the 64bit engine on with apparently no other problems... I'll check if that fixes it and report... Thanks! Keni

You nailed it John... Thanks... It seems this issue is tied to the 64bit engine bug... So I can relax knowing it's being fixed already... Keni

Hey Keni Would you PLEASE change your avatar back to what it was. This avatar gives the impression of a very depressed old man. Does X3 have something to do with it?

I did like the old avatar Keni had. But everything has to change, right?

Thanks Everyone...
I'm glad you liked the old avatar... That is a caricature created by my sister... She does great work...
Too bad it carries (carried) such a strong cowboy image... I have nothing against cowboys or country music or such, but it's not what I do... That album was my 6th and I've just released my 8th this past Saturday and things of this nature were begging for updating...
This avatar is the cover of the new album... Sorry if it looks like an old man (cowboydan), but to most it comes more in the alien/ET vein which is what I intended...
And anyway... I am an old man!
Much Thanks and a Happy Thanksgiving to All! Keni

Hey Keni - Is that Hagstrom 12 string from your gallery still around? My first electric 6 was a Hag with the same pickups, and those pesky DPDT switches that broke kinda regularly. Man I loved the single coil sound of that thing. It died. : ( Brian

Hi Brian... Yeah, it's around. It belongs to my good friend John (from the band VKTMS) and he loans it to me knowing of my fond memories for my Hagstroms... My First decent electric was a Hagstrom I in bright Red, Vinyl back and the funny grill cloth between the pickups.... I loved that guitar and I've hated myself since selling it... tho I did get my first Gibson then... I also had a Hagstrom 12 string (black) a number of years later when the Byrds overwhelmed my life! ;-) I couldn't afford the 360/12... One day I hope to own a Hagstrom I again as it was such a great, think, flat-back neck.... Wonderful for players with small hands! ...and a fun sound! Keni

Picture didn't post...
But I think all Hagstrom players have fond memories of them...
I'm glad to see that someone has brought the name back with a few re-builds of early models... I'm dying to see them re-release the Hagstrom I!
