ProChannel keeps adding Tube Saturation

Has anyone else seen this? I did a search and didn't see anything about it.
I activated ProCh on a track with snare drum. Click the eq button to check it out. Clicked the Tube Sat button to check that out. Didn't want the Tube Sat so I deactivated it on that track. Went on to something else. Closed the program. Came back later and the Tube Sat was reinsituted on that track. Don't know why.

I have seen that sometimes it takes two clicks to get the saturation switch to turn on or off.

Perhaps you didn't really get it turned off even though the on-off button suggested that you did?

I just tried it out and it happens on any track when activating the ProCh. What do you mean by doing two clicks? If I double click it just turns it off then on again. Check it out and see.
I tried it on acoustic guitar, with a preset and without a preset. I can turn off the eq, but not the tubeSat. I mean, I can turn it off according to the GUI, but when I close the program after saving it, it comes right back! What am I missing?

    well, what I said was

"I have seen that sometimes it takes two clicks to get the saturation switch to turn on or off."

I do not know how to be more precise than that.

I have observed that on my install if I hit play and then immediately click on the saturation switch it will not turn on... and then I hit a second time and it does.

I think I have also observed the instance occur in reverse if I hit play and then immediately try to turn it off.

The switch appears to indicate that the switching took place but the actual effect persists in it's previous state until I click a second time.

Just a weird little quirk I noticed after a few minutes of checking out the ProChannel.

    best regards,
    mike

    Drumr,

Yes, I see that all the time.   Only happens on certain tracks and is intermittent, but, I have had the compressor and tube sat  randomly turn on across a project.   I know I did not turn them on because I haven't really started using ProChannel yet as I am focused on getting my mixing template from 8.5 to X1 and experimenting with X1....  I figured Cake is probably aware of the problem and will wait for X1b to see  if this and other issues are resolved and have essentially reverted back to 8.5.3.

yes strange things going on...You shut it off and save the project and close SONAR. Next time you open the project it's on again?
Perhaps SONAR X1 trying to tell you that the "Track" sounds better with TUBE on?

Thanks. At least I now know I'm not seeing things that aren't there! :-)
And it doesn't make any difference if the track is playing or not. Same thing.

It's a known bug & was reported when released. Activates on re-opened project even if you've only expanded ProCh in CV.

I see this all over the place.

It happens most noticeably for me with the Tube Sat, although the EQ and compressor both do it often and unpredictably. The Tube Sat light appears enabled, but no saturation is seen (the glowing tube doesn't glow) and I don't hear the tube sat until I toggle it off and on again. Then the tube UI glows and I hear the tube saturation. It's almost to the point where I'm going to stop using the Pro Channel. A plugin that loses its brains under known circumstances is acceptable for a demo- a plugin that loses its brains whenever it jolly well pleases isn't ready for prime time.

It's really a bummer because I've grown fond of the sound of the Pro Channel. I just can't bring myself to police its BS anymore.
