Probably THE COOLEST, most USEFUL plugin I've EVER USED! (no I don't work for the company)
Hey, excuse all the caps, kids. BUT I AM STOKED! Just downloaded the demo of Zynaptiq UNVEIL - a reverb killing machine that NOTHING can compare with. Not only does this plug kill reverb, but it kills RECORDING ROOM REFLECTIONS!! I have a $300.00 vocal trap that can only do so much - when I sings loud, I gets room noise. Thought my recording was ruined. NOPE nope! Well check this out. This is what I did to a friend's recording who has worse room issues than me (despite a good vocal trap as well). https://app.box.com/s/ow1xcmxp1nczjkvzw8jcWhat you hear is a before and after. Incredible! Anyhow, the demo-version lasts 20 minutes at a shot with no ability to save presets. Big deal. As it stands, it's all you need. Post YOUR results HERE (in response) and let's hear your best room-killing efforts! As always, we are FLAGRANT REGARD

No doubt Zynaptic Unveil is a wonder. But on my tiny speakered iPad there was not much difference in the before and after.

Haven't downloaded a demo, and is probably killer. Appreciate the heads up, Flagrant. Question is, any of us humanoids crawling around on all fours, what is special that can justify the price tag? John (edit) Used to the routine, and generous for sure. 20 min time out and no preset saves. Will take the "freeware" option on your recommendation.

I thought R-mix was supposed to be good at removing the room sound from audio files. Any who I'd rather spend the money on room treatment. Rocky

This would be really useful for those who work in post ... cleaning up dialog recorded in a reverberant environment, for example. Pros could certainly justify the price. Cheers, Eddie

Yeah, but maybe you don't WANT to sound 'more open'. Virsyn's REFLECT reverb contains select presets of recording 'rooms' that you could put in your vst effects bin (on top) and then (below) you would add a nice plate, hall or what have you. There's a really cool 'how to bring out your voice in a mix' where I learned how important that is for spaciality. An 'early reflection' effect with a reverb on top. Hope that's helpful...

The demo video on the website is quite impressive. I can imagine it being useful for audio forensics and things like that.

Huh... The SPL De-Verb held its own pretty well in that comparison. At $59 and less CPU intensive it seems like a good deal for this sort of thing. And the only one I'd consider based on cost. Surprisingly, RX3 seemed to have the most artifacts overall, but of course it's an entire suite of apps so serves many purposes. It is pretty cool to see what these plugins can do though, things that were near impossible 10 years ago.
