(Probably dumb) question re bouncing trax

Maybe this falls under the category of RTFM, or maybe after weeks of trial and error I would discern some sense myself... but I figured I'd throw it out and see whether you gurus could answer off the tops of your heads.

Last night I tried to bounce a bunch of clips using the "Bounce to Track" feature. Likely relevant here is that some were stereo, some were mono, and they were panned variously left and right. My assumption was that these would bounce to a stereo track, mixed according to my pan settings. Instead I consistently get a mono track. I also noticed that the level of this final track was very low, but maybe that had something to do with effects inserted (and not rendered) on the source tracks. These were very similar in content, so I'm not sure what P5 used or discarded in interpreting the stereo info and panning.

Does anyone know how this is intended to work when you bounce a combination of stereo and mono clips?

go to help/index and type 'bounce' everything you want to know is there. sounds like you want to file/export instead of bounce to track.

also odd that when you "FREEZE" a track it says "Bouncing Track" instead in the title bar.
