Problem Dragging Project Template From the Browser

This is in X2, no hot fix...
 
I have a project that has EZ Drummer inserted as a synth, one MIDI source track and eight audio tracks as the output of the EZD.  Some of the audio tracks have effects in the effects bin.  I saved this as a template.
 
Then I opened an existing project, went to the browser, found the project template I created above and dragged it into an empty area at the bottom of the track view.  All the tracks from the template were inserted, but they did not have any of the effects in the effects bin.  Also, the EZD synth wasn't added to my second project.  Is this a bug?  I was thinking that the effects would be there and the synth would be added.

    afaik you dont get to switch project templates when you already have a project open. I would recommend saving the ezd settings as a track template.

    I just tried this out for you as a track template - not a project template.

    I created and saved a track template of ezdrummer that had a chorus effect added in one of the fxbins.

    I then dragged that template into X2 and the chorus effect "was" in the effects bin. Other words, it worked like you want it to. 

    Are you highlighting and saving all the tracks as a track template with your effects already in place?

    Yep, this needs to be done via track template, not project template.

    I didn't know you can group tracks and create a track template for the group.  I'll do that then.
