Problem Importing WAV Files

Greetings,

I just bought the VS20 and I'm having problems importing wav files. When I click on "Import" the "audio" area is grayed out, and I am only able to click on "Audio CD", "Video" or "MIDI". Im sure its something simple I am forgetting to do..any ideas or tips would be most appreciated!

    Hi there Tim, welcome aboard
     
    What's most likely is that you have a MIDI track as your focus - hence it won't let you import an audio wave file to that particular track.
     
    Simply switch to the Track View and click in an audio track pane to give it focus - now you should have the option to Import Audio available. Incidentally, the wave file will be inserted at the Now Time Marker.

    Thanks so much Steve! The problem was indeed that I did not select the track before I tried to import the audio..I appreciate your help!
