Problem of Sonar 6.2

Hi

I´ve got a problem with Sonar 6.2, when I try to execute a file with the extension cwb, I receive an error  "a region of corrupt audio has been detectec and it has been replaced with silence", my proyects have lost tracks and they are disordered.  What can it be?
My system is Windows 7 64bits.  A few days before it worked right, but today it didn´t.
thanks a lot.

    Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately the cwb-files are much more vulnerable than cwp-files. They should not be used as the only saving mode, but mainly used temporarily when moving projects between computers.

If the cwb-file gets corrupt, there's little to do. The audio files of cwp-files are still there, if something goes wrong, and AFAIK also the whole file structure is more "durable".

And like the wise guys here say:" If you don't have the project in three places, you don't have it." Backing up regularily, often enough, is an essential habit to learn. If you have backups, try them. Also, if you have an earlier
version of SONAR, you could try that. Even downloading a demo of some CW software and trying to load the project there would be something I'd try if nothing else helps.

You say: "My projects have lost audio.." Do you mean all your projects are messed??

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Hi, thanks for replying. I have two projects back up and do not work. A few days ago I was working with them, I think it's a problem of Sonar and Windows 7, what do you think?

Two projects backed up and neither one is working...That's really bad luck!
    Whether it's a W7/SONAR problem or not, I can't comment.

Of course, finding a PC with SONAR  and XP would be an option (if you can't install XP on your machine). If the projects would open, you coul save them as cwp's.

Did you save it as a CWP file also? Use that instead of the CWB.

    I don't think its a problem with Windows 7.

You could also try opening it in safe mode (hold down CTRL while clicking on File-Open).
