Problem opening project

The thing is like this: I created a project, worked on it many many hours during a week and then comes a day that when I open it Sonar goes 'Not Responding'. I can open other projects, but not this one. I tried sending it to a friend who has Sonar too. He successfully opened the project, we even tried deleting all plugins in case any of those was preventing me from opening it. We re-saved the project from his comp with no luck when I would open it here with mine.

Specs: 
Sonar X1 - Producer x64
AMD Phenom X3
4 GB RAM DD2
Focusrite - Scarlett

    Try opening in safe mode.  Hold down the Shift key while selecting the file name.

    Thanks man, it worked just fine. Any ideas about why this thing happens?

    Any ideas about why this thing happens?
    I would have thought that it must be one the plugins causing the problem, but you say that you have removed them all so it can't be that.

    Oh well, it seems like I'll have to open the project everytime like this. Thanks for your help man.

    Once you've got it open in Safe Mode - do a File > Save As and re-name it.
