Problem recording POD HD digital into Focusrite Scarlett 6i6
Does anyone out there use a POD HD with its S/PDIF output routed to a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6? I cannot seem to get a signal to appear in SONAR. I set the Focusrite Control to its configuration preset named "Analogue + Digital," which sets the S/PDIF as the clock source. In SONAR all looks fine but I see no signal entering from the S/PDIF input.

Hi. I don't have a 6i6, but I have recorded my POD HD500 several times using S/PDIF. Have you checked the Mix Control (if that is the correct name) on your 6i6, to make sure the digital input received from the POD? Do you have it connected via USB at the same time? If so, uncheck it in Preferences as a device. All the best.

Thanks for the reply, Zargg. I don't see any signal from it in the Focusrite Control app. So maybe there something on the POD I need to set to enable it sending data out the S/PDIF port...

I managed to get it to work. In SONAR, in the Preferences dialog, set Record Timing Master to Focusrite USB ASIO S/PDIF, and match the settings the POD HD has for sampling rate (48 kHz, in this case). In Focusrite Control, under Device Settings, set the Sample Rate to 48kHz and select S/PDIF for Clock Source.
