Problem splitting a clip at desired split point - solved

    Hi Musicroom,

    I suspect you may have snap to grid enabled. If you disable snap to grid can you then hit your snip target?

    Thanks for responding. But I had turned snap to grid off. Rechecked and rechecked that setting as I was trying to split this clip in the proper spot. I think this was a project specific problem. This was haunting me since last night. Today after I posted the problem, I resaved the project under a different name. Closed X2 and reopened - and all was normal in the world of splitting clips. Not sure what happened, but the problem went away.


    I removed the post and the images since the problem was probably very specific to my setup or particular project.
