    Welcome to the forum.
I don't think setting the sampling rate in Windows affects which sampling rate the UA or SONAR LE uses in this case. How about the bit rate? It looks like the UA has a 24-bit default setting and all of the Cakewalk programs I've seen default to 16-bit.
Is the Record Source switch set to analog?
Do you have the updated drivers for the UA for Win 7 64-bit?

You wrote that the Record Device is the UA. What is listed for Playback Device?

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.

    thank you for your answer...
you may be right for the bit rate cuz i switched it to analog (this is the default setting by the way) and i have the update for drivers win 7 645 bit.
and yes the ua is listed for playback device...

so i think i'll see the bit rate and really hope the problem comes from here.

    thank you :)
