Problem with Jamstix and Addictive Drums (X3)

Not playing nicely for me I'm afraid....I can set everything up so that Jamstix is sending out MIDI on a channel (I use channel 10), and I have a MIDI track receiving this data and outputting it to Addictive Drums. And when I first set it up, it worked perfectly.

But when I load the project, I'm not getting any sound at first. The MIDI track is showing activity so I know it's receiving the MIDI from Jamstix, and the output is to Addictive Drums as usual, but it takes an age of me stopping and starting the project before eventually the sound decides it's going to make it's appearance and it gently fades in. It's really weird.

Anyone else experiencing weirdness?

Wow.  I've never experienced that, and I've used these together on several hosts including X3.  You might want to post this in the JS forum too.  Ralph is pretty responsive.

I'm basically an idiot and didn't have input echo enabled on the MIDI track in the saved project. I guess what happened is that in the course of frantically clicking on tracks to check their inputs while stopping and starting the project, I have clicked on the MIDI track and thus enabled its input echo. HA! I had no trouble with this months ago when I first got Jamstix - guess I haven't used it for a while.

Ah!   So it's working ok now?  I have never had a problem, and this is a really powerful combination (imo).

Cool!  If you want to get the snare rolls working, you'll probably need to follow the guidance here:

    Take care,

That's weird, they work for me. At least a pattern it was playing earlier had a little roll at the start of the bar...do you select the AD drum kit in Jamstix?

No, I run AD outside of JS (it's the 64 bit version, 3.5.0), and then route MIDI to it from JS.  If rolls are working, you probably don't need to change anything then.

    Enjoy!
