Problem with M-Audio Fast track Ultra 8R in 8.5 Producer

I'm using 8.5 Producer on Win7. Using a Fast track Ultra 8R Sonar is only allowing me 4 ins and 4 outs instead of the 8x8 I should have. I believe I have the right plug-ins as the functionality of the interface seem fine otherwise.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

    Keep in mind the 8 are 8 mono tracks. Sonar or the M-Audio driver takes these 8 and pairs them when creating stereo tracks. So it works like this on most sound cards:

    1 = Left 1
    2 = Right 1
    1+2 = Stereo 1
    3 = Left 3
    4 = Right 3
    3+4 = Stereo 3
    5 = Left 5
    6 = Right 5
    5+6 = Stereo 5
    7 = Left 7
    8 = Right 7
    7+8 = Stereo 7

    The numbering may vary, but the concept is the same. Most instruments and microphones are monophonic so it makes sense to do it this way. If you have a guitar with a stereo effects box, or a stereo synth keyboard, then you will want to use a stereo input for these, otherwise a mono track is the best choice.

    Yeh thats confusing for someone new to MAudio isnt it?  They could have labeled them 1-8 and put in some stereo link buttons to take the confusion out of it.

    Mines 1,3,5,7 with left, right, and stereo
