Problem with MIDI-device

I have a A-500S keyboard (Cakewalk) permanent connected to my computer.
All 1 - 4 hour I get a message: "The above MIDI device was disconnected from your system ...". 1 to 4 hour later I get the next message, ... "a new device was found".
I have the same problem with the keyboard Edirol PCR M1. The displays on the keyboards are always on.
There is no problem with my drum-controller AkAI MPD32.

Whenever I need the A-500S keyboard (or Edirol) I cannot play, I get no sound.
Then I have 2 or 3 times to unplug and replug the keyboard(s) before I get a sound.
(All cakewalk versions, different USB-cables, different connections)

Is this a problem with windows 7(x64), cakewalk or sleeping USB-bus ???
Has anyone the same problem or a solution?

Go to the Power Management tab of each USB Hub in Device Manager, and uncheck the box to "Allow the computer to turn of this device...".

If the power management settings (brundlefly's previous post) don't address it, you may have a defective USB cable or port.  Try a different USB cable plugged into a different port.

Thanks for the power management suggestion.  I have this same issue with an M-Audio Key Rig 49 and and Akai LPK 25 and did not know what was wrong.

This may also explain why my blue-tooth wireless computer keyboard sometimes goes away.
