Problem with TH2 bonus pack download and ir install. This: TH2 Producer Bonus Pack Presets
After downloading and extracting I get three .xml files that are numbered 1, 2, and 3. If I open them I get a huge page of gibberish. I tried extracting all, I tried everything I know. I watched the video about how to add content banks... something is wrong, it is probably me but I still need help. Is it possible I already installed them when I downloaded originally. I do not remember what I did and don't know what to look for to check it. I know I are a dummy but I am all I have... other than you... so...

You have to go into sonar and open th2. After that you have to open "Search"and click on the user presets on the left side. After that you have to right click on the empty bank and import the files one by one.

Yes, I watched the vid... kept it open and followed step by step but I can find NO ir WAV files, only .xml files. I am confused, did you read the OP? Maybe I am more confused than I thought.

I even tried deleting the freebie and downloading it again. What are a couple of the cabinet presets. I wil look at what I have and see if I installed them as Cakewalk presets but I really don't think I did... but, I'll check... and thanks for trying to help me =)

There are two different preset downloads. One contains 3 XML files (the new download in the table with the Groove3 coupon), the other contains one XML file and a directory of IRs (last months download in the table with your purchases). The XML files are presets, the video above covers install them. The steps are 1) Click Search button 2) Click "User Presets" radio button 3) Right-click on an empty bank 4) Choose "Import Bank" from menu and select an XML file to load 5) Click Close button Importing IRs 1) Load the IR cabinet module into TH2 2) Double-Click on the IR Cabinet module 3) Click "Import IR" 4) Create a new group (Optional but a good idea to keep separate from factory files) 5) Locate and import IR wav Repeat import for each IR placing them in the group created in #4.

Thanks scook, I will go to my account and look for another download. That... I is (I think)my problem. I had no idea there were two downloads. BTW, sorry to be a dummy, but what do I need to open the .xml files? or do I even need to fool with them?

The XML files contain the new presets for TH2 Producer, you will import the files following the method detailed in the video link above and/or steps 1-5 in my post above. You do not need to open the XML files outside of TH2's import process.

When I open the download does it have two itenms:
__MACOSX
TH2 Producer Content Pack
Then when I open the Content pack I find:
Cabinet IRs (file folder)
.ds_store DS_store File
producer-jazz .xml file
I already have these installed I think. I thought they came with TH2, maybe I am mistaken but I tried to install them per the video as user presets and was told (by a popup message) that I could not add duplicates. I will look at my account again.

You should have another download link. It is immediately above the "My Registered Products" table, in the table with the Groove3 coupon.

I feel they way they(TH2) import presets is over complicated and could be delivered in a better way.

Nope, those are the cabinet IRs from the first TH2 freebie, they came from the "TH2 Producer Content Pack". In your store account immediately above the "My Registered Products" heading there should be a download link for "TH2 Producer Bonus Pack Presets". That download contains three XML files that are the new files for this month.

scook... I got it! I didn't have the xmls unzipped so they were not showing up as an option to insert. I put them in user banks 1/2/3.

My problem is when I open TH2 Producer, I don't have a "search" button. Here's what I see. The video clearly shows a search area that doesn't exist in this plug in. How can I add those Bonus packs? Thanks.

If you have to have a video and several threads to learn how to load presets, houston, we have a problem.
Although it sounds great, the TH2 is about the most stupid bit of software to use. The process for presets denies the generally accepted world view of same. I mean, why don't they go out and invent a square wheel while they are at it? I want to slap a nice sounding guitar sim on a sound, not waterboard myself to learn how to do it.
The stupidity involved is monumental.
