Problem with ezDrummer copy/paste loop

I used to be able to take an ezDrummer beat and put it onto the MIDI track in Sonar 8.5, then go to Properties and enable Groove-Clip looping.  I would then click on the clip to highlight it, copy it, and then align the mouse at the end of the clip and copy the clip multiple times.  I could then press play and here the drum clip 100 times in a row and it sounded fine.

Now when I do the Paste the clips don't line up next to each other.  There are black gaps of silence between the clips.  I'm sure it's a simple copy or paste setting but I can't figure out the solution.  It used to work fine so I must have changed something in my settings.

And thoughts are greatly appreciated.

First of all, if you're enabling groove clip looping, you shouldn't have to copy-paste anything; you just drag the end of the groove clip to roll out more copies.

In any case, to check/control how pasted repetitions will be aligned, use Paste Special (ALt+Ctrl+V) and click the Advance button if necessary to show the full paste dialog that lets you choose whether to Align to Measures. If you want repetitions to abut each other regardless of the length, uncheck this.

That said, a Groove Clip should end exactly on a measure/beat. if it doesn't, it's not going to sync to the timeline when you roll it out or if you copy-paste with Align to Measures disabled, so I'm a little confused about what your situation is.
