Problem with waves from FL Studio
Hello. Has anybody any experience with waves exported from FL Studio? I can't make them sound good in Sonar. There is no problem with FL Studio mp3 format, but waves sounds unexpectedly. I tried waves from FL Studio 11 (x64) in my and friends Sonar X3 (x64), it is impossible to work this way. I export mp3 format 320 kbps, but I know this is not proffesional to work in mp3 format. I got used to make loops in FL Studio then work in Sonar. Is there way to make it work? These waves sounds good played in Media Player, but sth maters with them when imported to Sonar. Thanks

Are they loops? They may have beat markers embedded in them. If they are loops you can try converting them to loops in SONAr once you import them and see if the beats line up with your timeline. If the beats don't line up you can try looking at the loop properties and setting the number of beats you think are in the loop.

Thanks. I will try with loop properties. In Sonar default tempo is 120, when waves tracks are imported, at this tempo it seems sound normal but after doing the right tempo as in FL Studio was the project, some tracks get bad sound. I think my FL waves have sth like loop properties cause the tempo of these waves adjusts to the tempo in Sonar.

The best way I found to work with fl studio and sonar is to open fl studio in sonar as a vst,if you open the multi out vst version of fl studio you can bounce 16 tracks all at once directly from your project,I've had a similar issue with sonar and mp3's it doesn't seem to play nicely with them...but it dose with fl as vst ;-)

Thanks, I have heard about that but how to do it in practice? My Sonar doesn't detect any FL vst..

We'll the best way is when you instal fl it gives you the option to choose we're to instal it's own vst version and you should chose you vst folder,if you don't want to re instal fl go to windows start menu in programs imageline and I forget which folder once your in there but there's an app that says instal vst versions and just make sure it goes into the correct vst folder,fl always installs it's dll but I tried moving it manually but it would never work it has to be installed to the location it's going to be used, once you got it installed just rescan your vsts from sonar it will be under instruments there should be two a regular and a multi out

If it doesn't work going thru the windows start menu in the imageline folder,I'm afraid your going to have to re install to make it work then....I ended up having to do that also.
Also note fl in sonar is awesome but you most likely will loose most of the typing keyboard letters functions because sonar takes them, basically you won't be able to rename things within fl studio but the other keys work, best bet is do what you can in fl studio then one you start wanting to do things in sonar then open fl as vst then open the project and go from there, works out better that way.for me anyway everyone is different

The problem was that when exported wave from FL there was enabled "save ACIDized". Now everything is ok. It seems wave had the information about the tempo and was adjusted making harm to the sound. Thanks
