Problems Using Sonar 2 XL with Terratec DMX6Fire

Hi There,

I tried to use Cakewalk Sonar 2XL with a Terratec DMX6Fire Sound Card and got Sonar installed after fixing the Direct X problem with the help of this forum. Now I tried to record but the sound card has not been found by sonar for the input.

Is this a known problem?
Can anyone help me?

Thanx Bob

    1. I assume the DMX6Fire works with other programs like Windows Media Player, etc.?

    2. Have you disabled any on-board sound device that came with the computer?

    1. The DMX works with every program (like media player or adobe audition) excepty sonar

    2. the first thing i did was to disable the on-board thing

Could it be that the Terratec Cinergy TV card is disturbing the sound card (too from terratec) ..... ?

    Thanx for help bob
